Monroe Community Coalition — Mental Health Awareness Campaign (Spanish Language)

The Goal
Help Spanish-speaking parents see mental health not as a weakness — but as a strength that must be nurtured.

For many families, conversations about anxiety, depression, or emotional struggle can feel uncomfortable or even stigmatized. The Monroe Community Coalition wanted to meet parents where they are — in their own language, with cultural understanding — and offer a more hopeful frame.

The Concept
The heart of the campaign was simple:
Mental health is like physical health. You work on it to stay strong.

Produced entirely in Spanish, the film featured interviews with community members, educators, and advocates speaking about how to respond with support instead of silence.

The Approach
Trust was everything. We built the film around authentic voices from within the community — people who understood both the cultural nuances and the real pressures families face. The tone was warm, respectful, and grounded. Just honest conversations about how important it is to show up for kids – so kids know adults are there for them. And when that trust grows, conversations that once felt impossible start to happen.
